About
About the Omega Seamaster
Omega launched the Seamaster in 1948, making it one of the brand's oldest continuously produced lines, built from the start around water resistance rather than a dress or chronograph purpose. Over the decades the name has covered a range of diving and sport watches, from early water-resistant dress-sport pieces to the professional dive watches of later generations, with rotating bezels, screw-down crowns, and helium escape valves appearing on specific dive-rated references. The Seamaster also became closely associated with the James Bond films starting in the 1990s, when the character switched from wearing a different brand to an Omega Seamaster on screen. Sub-lines within Seamaster, including Diver and Planet Ocean, have grown large enough to have their own model pages here.
We disclose condition plainly on every listing: mint, excellent, good or fair, whether the watch ships with its original box, and any service history we know about. A Seamaster without its papers isn't necessarily a concern, but we tell you exactly what documentation comes with the specific watch you're looking at before you buy.
