Four metals, clearly labelled

Sterling Silver
A bright white metal that stacks easily with other chains. Over time it can darken, and a soft polishing cloth brings the shine back.
14K Gold-Filled
A thick layer of 14K gold bonded over a base metal. It has the warm look of gold, and it is not solid gold all the way through.
10K Gold
Solid gold through and through, in a slightly paler yellow than 14K. Its higher share of alloy metals makes it firmer than 14K.
14K Gold
Solid gold through and through, in a richer yellow than 10K. It is the classic gold for a chain you plan to wear every day.
Not sure which to choose? We will put them side by side on your wrist.

What permanent jewelry is
Permanent jewelry is a fine chain that is fitted to your body and closed with a tiny weld instead of a clasp. Some people call it forever jewelry. Others call it welded jewelry or zap jewelry, after the quick spark that seals the ring.
We measure the chain on you, set a small jump ring at the closure and join it with a brief spark. The weld happens on the jump ring, held away from your skin, and a small shield sits under it. The visit takes minutes per piece. There is no clasp to fasten, so the chain stays on until you decide otherwise. It comes off with one snip of the jump ring, and a jeweler can close it again afterward. The first guide below goes through the whole appointment.

Choosing your chains
Permanent jewelry chains are fine chains. A cable chain is the classic, with plain round links. A paperclip chain has longer oval links that lie flat. A figaro chain alternates short and long links for a little rhythm. A rope chain twists into a soft texture that catches the light.
Fine chains suit a weld because the small jump ring that closes them sits in line with the links and reads as one more link. Thickness also changes how a chain sits. A slimmer chain layers easily with others, and a slightly heavier one stands on its own. Cost depends on the metal and the length, and we quote it when you book or walk in. The second guide below explains what shapes that quote.
