How do you pair a wedding band with an engagement ring?

Accepted Answer

Three options: (1) a matching set designed together with the same metal and complementary detailing so the band sits flush against the engagement ring; (2) a contoured enhancer that physically curves around the engagement-ring center stone; (3) a contrast band — different metal, deliberate stylistic mismatch (a thin diamond eternity with a chunky vintage engagement ring is one of the most-popular combinations). What metals are best for wedding bands?

Accepted Answer

Platinum is the most durable (doesn't deform with daily wear), most hypoallergenic, and shows white diamonds at their brightest. 18K or 14K white gold is a strong lower-cost alternative (requires periodic rhodium plating). Yellow gold is the most traditional warm-tone choice. Rose gold is the most contemporary choice. For men, tungsten and titanium offer extreme scratch resistance at lower price points; cobalt chrome offers a modern look with bright white finish.

How much do wedding bands cost?

Accepted Answer

Prices range widely by category: men's plain bands start around $400 (tungsten/titanium) to $4,000+ (heavy 18K gold or platinum). Women's diamond eternity bands range $2,500–$25,000+ depending on carat weight and quality. Stackable rings start around $300 each. Ring enhancers typically run $1,500–$8,000. Most clients budget 5–10% of their engagement-ring spend for the matching wedding band.

Can wedding bands be resized later?

Accepted Answer

Most metal wedding bands (gold, platinum, palladium) can be resized up or down within reason — typically 2–3 sizes. Eternity bands set with diamonds all the way around CANNOT be resized — choose carefully or order a fresh band at the new size if your finger size changes significantly. Tungsten and titanium cannot be resized at all (they can't be cut and welded — those metals must be replaced). We offer free lifetime resizing on standard metal bands purchased at ATL Luxury Jewelers.

How long does it take to make a custom wedding band?

Accepted Answer

A custom-designed wedding band typically takes 4–6 weeks from initial design to delivery — including CAD modeling, wax prototyping, casting, stone setting, and finishing. Rush turnaround is available for an additional fee. In-stock bands from our showroom can be sized and delivered within 1–2 weeks.

Yes. Our Snellville showroom — minutes from Atlanta, Lawrenceville, and Stone Mountain — carries an extensive wedding-band inventory across every major category and metal.
