Choosing a Men’s Wedding Band or Wedding Ring
Men’s wedding bands (also called men’s wedding rings) now span three resizable precious-metal categories (gold, platinum, palladium), every width from 4mm to 10mm+, and a wide range of finishes and details. Three practical decisions:
- Metal — 14K gold is the most common choice (14K white and yellow are ~60% of our men’s purchases), platinum the most durable, palladium a midrange alternative.
- Width — 6–7mm fits most hands; wider for larger hands or a stronger statement.
- Finish — polished shows reflections and scratches; brushed hides daily wear better.
For a diamond wedding ring for him, the most-requested configuration is a flush-set row of small diamonds across the top of a brushed band — subtle but distinct.
Pairing with a partner’s band is the most personal decision. Matched sets (same metal, same finish, complementary widths) and contrast sets (different metals or finishes) are both correct. Bring both partners for an in-person pairing session, or design a full bridal set together.

Men’s Gold Wedding Bands
Men’s gold wedding bands are our most-purchased category — roughly 60% of men’s sales. We carry them in 14K, 18K, and 10K across yellow, white, and rose:
- 14K — our most-stocked karat; best balance of color and durability. 14K white is the modern most-popular men’s metal; yellow is the classic choice; rose creates warm-toned contrast.
- 18K — richer color saturation at ~30–40% higher cost; we stock 18K yellow heavily for men.
- 10K — the most durable and budget-friendly; popular with active wearers.
Widths run 4mm to 10mm (6mm and 7mm most popular), in polished, brushed, satin, hammered, or sandblasted textures. Custom hand-engraving, milgrain edges, and mixed-metal inlay are available on any plain band.
