What Your Custom Chain Commission Involves

A custom chain is built link by link. You choose the style, length, and metal weight, so it’s never picked from a fixed run. Every custom chain moves through the same four steps before it reaches your hand.

• Link style — choose a Cuban link (flat, interlocking oval links that lie close together), rope, figaro, box, or a fully original link. We build it in 14K or 18K yellow, white, or rose gold.
• Length & weight — every custom chain is built to your exact length and gauge (how thick and heavy the chain is), not a stock size off a card.
• Finishing — polished, diamond-cut (cut with tiny facets that catch the light), or matte. The clasp is sized and tested for daily wear. Regular cleaning keeps any finish looking sharp, per Jewelers of America’s care guidance.
• Timeline — a CAD render comes typically within a week, and the piece takestypically 4 to 6 weeks from CAD approval. We confirm a firm date at your first meeting, before any work starts.

Custom Anklets and Choker Necklaces

An anklet and a choker are both short-chain builds. They use the same link-by-link craft as the chains above, just scaled down and fitted to a different length.

Custom Anklets

A custom anklet is built to the length that actually sits right on your ankle, not a generic stock size. We build it in a gauge sturdy enough for constant motion. Cable, curb, and figaro links — three sturdy link styles — hold up to daily wear better than a fine fashion chain does. We can add a name charm, the same way we do on our custom name bracelets, or keep it plain.

Custom Choker Necklaces

A custom choker necklace sits high and close to the throat, usually 13–15 inches long. The custom chains above usually run 16–18 inches, so clasp placement and fit matter more on a choker. We build the gauge and clasp just for that shorter length, and test it for comfort.
