Quick Answer
What is March’s birthstone?
March’s birthstone is aquamarine. Cool sky-blue aquamarine — March's birthstone — symbolizes courage, calm waters, and clear sailing ahead. Hand-set in rings, pendants, and earrings at our Snellville atelier.
About Aquamarine — the March Birthstone
Aquamarine is the pale blue to greenish-blue variety of beryl — the same mineral family as emerald — and March’s traditional birthstone. The name is Latin for “sea water,” and the most prized stones show a clean, pure sky-blue with no greenish overtone. Aquamarine sits at 7.5–8 on the Mohs scale, harder than amethyst or quartz.
ATL Luxury Jewelers stocks aquamarine across pendants, stud and drop earrings, solitaire and halo rings, and bracelets set in 14K and 18K gold or platinum. The stone is commonly heat-treated to remove green tones and intensify the blue — a standard, fully accepted treatment in the trade, disclosed on every piece we sell.
Aquamarine looks best in white gold or platinum, which reinforces the cool palette of the stone. Yellow gold can warm the blue slightly — sometimes a desired vintage effect, sometimes muddying. We recommend trying both at the showroom.
Why buy aquamarine from ATL Luxury Jewelers?
For over 15 years, ATL Luxury Jewelers has sourced natural aquamarine at our Snellville, GA showroom. We select for clean saturation, even color, and high clarity — aquamarine is typically a clean-looking stone, and we hold that standard.
Every aquamarine piece includes lifetime cleaning, prong-tightening, and rhodium-plating (for white gold) at no charge — a policy we’ve held since 2009.
