Omega has sold the Constellation for decades as a dress watch built around precision, with earlier generations carrying Omega's chronometer certification as a selling point. The design most people picture when they hear "Constellation" today traces to the Manhattan generation from the 1980s, which introduced the half-moon-shaped "claws" at the lugs where the bracelet meets the case, a styling cue that has carried through later redesigns.
