Choosing a metal
14K gold comes in white, yellow and rose and is the most common choice for daily wear. 18K gold has a richer color and is slightly softer. Platinum is naturally white and the most durable. Sterling silver is the lowest-priced option. Each piece lists its metal, and many are offered in more than one.
Natural and lab-grown diamonds
Both are real diamonds. Natural diamonds are mined. Lab-grown diamonds are grown in a laboratory and usually cost less for the same size. Every listing says which one it uses.
