The finest aquamarines come from Brazil and Madagascar and display a clear, saturated sky-blue without green undertones. Aquamarine scores 7.5–8 on Mohs (durable for daily wear) and is the March birthstone and 19th-anniversary gem. The Latin name means 'water of the sea,' and in nautical tradition the stone was carried by sailors as a talisman of safe passage.
A bezel setting rims the entire perimeter of the center diamond in a continuous metal collar — the most secure setting style available and the most snag-free for daily wear. Bezel settings give a clean, modern silhouette and are the preferred choice for active wearers, medical professionals, and clients who prioritize maximum stone security.
