Understanding This Piece
About the Natural Diamond
Natural diamonds form deep within the earth over 1–3 billion years under extreme heat and pressure — making each stone genuinely irreplaceable. Diamonds rank 10 on the Mohs hardness scale (the hardest natural material on earth), so they resist scratches better than any other gemstone and are uniquely suited for daily-wear jewelry. Every natural diamond we sell over 0.50ct ships with a GIA or comparable independent grading report documenting its carat weight, color, clarity, and cut precision. Natural diamonds hold their value over decades and carry strong heirloom resale demand.
About 10K Rose Gold
10K rose gold derives its warm pink hue from a higher copper content — typically 50%+ of the alloy. The increased copper makes 10K the rosiest and hardest-wearing rose gold available, and the boldest pink tone in fine jewelry. The color does not fade or tarnish, and rose gold never requires rhodium plating like white gold does. It pairs beautifully against fair to medium skin tones and complements diamonds, morganites, and pearls with a flattering warm cast.
About the Emerald Cut
The emerald cut is a rectangular step-cut — long parallel facets cut in stair-stepped rows that create dramatic mirror-like flashes rather than the scintillation of brilliant cuts. The result is sophisticated, architectural, and unmistakably elegant. Emerald cuts have been favored by old-Hollywood icons (Grace Kelly, Beyoncé, Amal Clooney). The step-cut faceting shows clarity more visibly than brilliant cuts, so emerald-cut diamonds typically benefit from higher clarity grades (VS1 or better). They tend to cost 15–30% less per carat than rounds.
